Brusciano ricorda le vittime degli attentati terroristici
internazionali dell’11 Settembre 2001. Omaggio floreale in Piazza XI
Settembre con un minuto di silenzio.
Piazza XI Settembre da qualche giorno è cantiere a causa
dei lavori di ristrutturazione in corso. La piazza più grande di
Brusciano è dedicata alla memoria delle vittime del terrorismo
internazionale, a New York e Washington, dell’11 settembre del 2001. Per
questo motivo oggi, 11 settembre 2009, nell’Ottavo Anniversario degli
attentati terroristici che, abbattendo le Torri del World Trade Center
di New York, colpirono l’umanità intera, è stato portato un omaggio
floreale in “Ricordo delle Vittime e per la Pace nel Mondo”.
Il Sindaco dott. Angelo Antonio Romano ha delegato il
Consigliere comunale Nicola Di Maio ed il responsabile dell’Ufficio
Stampa Antonio Castaldo a porgere il commosso pensiero alla memoria di
quei tragici fatti. La semplice cerimonia è stata svolta a nome
dell’Amministrazione comunale, del Consiglio comunale e del suo
Presidente, Antonio Di Palma, e del Popolo di Brusciano.
Sulla Piazza XI Settembre, alle ore 13.00, fermati i
lavori, è stato dedicato un “Minuto di Silenzio e Raccoglimento” alle
innocenti vittime del 2001 ed a quelle di tutti i terrorismi nel mondo.
Il Direttore dei lavori, presente nel cantiere, l’architetto Giuseppe
Devastato, si è affiancato al Consigliere comunale e Delegato alle
Politiche Sociali, Nicola Di Maio ed al giornalista Antonio Castaldo,
per deporre un fascio di fiori ed esprimere, tutti insieme, un pensiero
di cordoglio e di solidarietà internazionale.
Poi sono ripresi i lavori che dovranno terminare per la fine dell’anno.
In quella occasione si terrà la cerimonia inaugurale con autorità civili
e religiose e rappresentanze istituzionali nazionali ed internazionali,
così come avvenne nel 2004 con la partecipazione del dott. Paul Martin
per il Consolato Americano a Napoli.
Il costo dell’intervento di restyling è di circa 350.000 euro. Il
progetto è stato fatto dal personale dell’Ufficio Tecnico Comunale di
Brusciano, progettista architetto Vincenzo Cicino, responsabile dl
procedimento architetto Antonio Ruggiero. Il Sindaco, Dott. Angelo
Antonio Romano, l’Ingegnere Angelo Maione, Assessore ai Lavori Pubblici
ed il dott. Carmine Guarino Assessore al Bilancio e Finanza sperano di
ottenere, per l’inaugurazione di fine anno, un pezzo delle Torri Gemelle
dalla Port Authority di NY & NJ da collocare come Monumento alla Memoria
in Piazza XI Settembre a Brusciano.
Il giornalista Antonio Castaldo ringrazia “la collega americana,
ricercatrice sociale, Miriam Medina, per la gentile collaborazione che
ci sta gratuitamente prestando da New York e per lo spazio dedicato, sul
suo sito storico e culturale, alle notizie provenienti da Brusciano”.

Brusciano remembers the victims of the international terrorist attacks of
September 11 2001. Floral homage in "Piazza XI Settembre" with one minute of
silence.
"Piazza XI Settembre "for several days in
September is a yard under construction because of the renovation work in
progress. The largest square of Brusciano is devoted to the memory of the
victims of the international terrorism, in New York and Washington, D.C.,
September 11, 2001. For this reason today, September 11, 2009 in the eighth
Anniversary of the terrorist attacks demolishing the Towers of the World Trade
Center in New York, has struck the entire humanity, and a floral homage has been
brought in "Memory of the Victims and for Peace in the World."
The Mayor Dr. Angelo Antonio Romano has delegated City Councilman Nicholas Di
Maio and the head of the press Office, Antonio Castaldo to extend heartfelt
thoughts to the memory of those tragic events. The simple ceremony was conducted
on behalf of the Municipal Administration, City Council and its President,
Antonio Di Palma, and the People of Brusciano.
On the "Piazza XI Settembre, at 13.00 all intense work was stopped and a "moment
of silence and meditation" was dedicated to the innocent victims of 2001 and all
those of terrorisms in the world. The Director of the work, present at the
worksite, the architect Giuseppe Devastato, stood beside the city councilman and
Delegate of Social Policies, Nicola Di Maio and journalist Antonio Castaldo, to
lay a bunch of flowers and express, all together, a thought of condolence and
international solidarity.
Then they resumed the work to be terminated by the end of the year. On that
occasion, the opening ceremony will be held with civil and religious authorities
and national and international institutional representations, so as it happened
in 2004 with the participation of Dr. Paul Martin for the American Consulate to
Naples.
